Acknowledging Holy Days: Tending To The Sacred Through Lives, Events, and Acts of Exalted Love

Remembering not only the saints, but the moments, lives, and acts of the early female leaders of the Christian Faith. There are holy days that live not only on calendars, but in the memory of love lived, courage given, and faith carried through human lives. Long before remembrance became formal, communities marked the sacred through story, witness, and gratitude. In this gathering, we return to that living stream.

Acknowledging Holy Days is an invitation to tend the sacred through the lives, events, and acts of love that have shaped the soul of faith. Together we will learn to recognise holy time not only in saints’ days, but in the quiet anniversaries of sacrifice, revelation, devotion, and grace — the moments where heaven touched earth through human hearts.

We will remember witnesses such as Thecla, apostle and teacher; Perpetua and Felicity, whose courage under persecution became a testimony of unshakable faith; Mary Magdalene, first herald of resurrection; Macrina, guide of theologians; and other early women and men whose lives carried the flame of Christ through fragile and dangerous beginnings.

This is a journey of remembrance as practice: listening, honoring, and allowing memory itself to become prayer.
