I have imagined the Brazilan and American Presidents rubbing their hands in glee at the prospect of obtaining agricultural land at the expense of the rainforest. I have even imagined all of us struggling for breath as these fires continue to burn across the planet (there are currently fires in the Arctic too)...

When I turn to this place inside of me. I see the 'Spirit' of the Amazon leaving us. I see the spirit of the plant medicines leaving us. I see the spirit of the indigenous people leaving us.

Not because we have done something wrong. But because enough of us have been given the gift. There are enough humans on the planet now that have seen and tasted the Truth. Because we 'know' we can choose how to live at a time like this.

It really does seem as if we along with 1000's of other species and our current natural world are heading towards death. We are in an extinction phase.

As utterly heartbreaking, frightening and despairing as all this is. There is something very tender in this. And it is this tenderness that I write these words.

We are not on our own. We are disappearing with the natural world. Because we are the Natural World. Our flesh will become once again the potential for NEW LIFE.

Once the vast majority of us have been exhumed - there will be some kind of new growth. Little green shoots will reappear - and our bodies will be the fertile ground for their nourishment and strengthening.

Another important aspect of this vision is that we have the ability to face this death consciously. Because of the medicine from the rainforest, because of that great gift, we can use our last precious moments of life to be kind-hearted. To reach out and love - everything. To praise the world, to honour one another, to make a difference over and over again.

I am not suggesting we sit back and let all this mayhem happen. What I reminding us of - is the 'feeling' of Faith. The feeling of goodness. The feeling of great, great care for one another, self and all.

I have never taken any of the plant medicines from the Amazon, but I know plenty who have. And I deeply, deeply thank and bless the plant, the elements, and the ground upon which this spirit could become manifest.

You have helped us so much. There are enough of us to heed this message. We can do this. We are doing this.

I will continue to BE with the Amazon, in every possible way that I can. I lurch and contort with us all at this news. But I would not be writing this if I did not fully believe this was coming from the overview of my soul listening and seeing this with very real eyes.
