Have you ever been led astray?

Beloved Friends, rather than spiritualise away this often denied human wound with psycho-babble let's come to it, open-hearted and with full understanding.

The feeling of being led astray can be excruciating and can easily lead to isolation and ongoing distrust. But first, let's examine the kinds of innocent and knowingly cruel situations that can maim us at an early and vulnerable age.

Being sent to boarding school, being taught 'man' made history, and manmade religions, gang tactics at school, finding yourself doing things you didn't want to, then, of course being sexually led astray, losing your virginity to young or too late, being promised something in return, and never getting it...

Later in our young life, we meet manipulative friends and boy/girlfriends, where we ourselves, realise we have to 'do or die', and get with the 'programme' and start doing the same. So we learn to duck and dive and edge our way along by earning brownie points in favourable situations and dodging responsibility in places where we can.

As we enter the workspace, everything goes to the next level. We hear of ways of getting ahead, as sex, money and power raise their ugly heads uttering a stream of (broken) promises and (empty) dreams. If we go for it, we don't realise until its too late - just how brittle and cold our life has become.

Perhaps, that's when we venture into the world of healing and spirituality, desperately needing some help and care. It's not long before we realise, the spiritual world is no different from the workplace.

The same agenda rules even this place. False teachers, made-up practices, made-up truth, made up rules and regulations that do nothing but entertain your teacher. We believe, and are told, we are not severe enough in our pursuit of truth and healing, so we throw away our life, to be favourable with the teacher and community, to finally be accepted and saved - and its all a crock of shit!

Deeper still, when we really look, when we finally take off our rose coloured specs and see how the whole of 'matrix' life is leading us astray. Take one more step, and we realise this 'worm' is inside of us, and how we too are the best at leading ourselves astray. That we don't have our best interests at heart, and how we also, can be hungry for the unreal...

So now we have hit the bottom of the barrel, we are in the shadow world - but at least we are here together.

Unless...

We receive the gift. We fumble in this dark and despairing underworld for the serpent and the dove. There is an exquisite gift in here somewhere, and it goes by the name of Discernment. This gift from the Light can only be found in the Dark. Its quality is 'to know'. To have radial awareness of what's really going on, and the courage to act upon it.

The greatest of truths summon us to our feet, and we Rise as Awakened Ones. Diligent, Discerning and True.

"Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves".
